The Sibrii Music Festival, coming to the 6th edition, is back to propose for 2017 a series of antique music events, alternating performances of I Solisti Ambrosiani, residence training, with prestigious outdoor groups.

 

The prestigious ensemble "Accademia del Ricercare", formed by Lorenzo Cavasanti and Luisa Busca flutes, Antonio Fantinuoli cello, Ugo Nastrucci tiorba and baroque guitar, Claudia Ferrero, opens the Festival with a concert entitled "La corelliana lesson" (May 6, Varese).

Next, two appointments with I Solisti Ambrosiani and the Musical Picta Female Voice Ensemble (10 and 13 May), which will propose a program dedicated to the seventeenth century, with particular regard to the figure of Claudio Monteverdi, of which this year is 450 ° Birth anniversary.

 

Renowned the collaboration with the Mvsica Perdvta group, this year in quartet formation, with the precious contribution of soprano Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli, accompanied by Renato Criscuolo (baroque cello), Alberto Bagnai (harpsichord and flute) and Vincenzo Bianco (Baroque violin) at Gavirate on May 20th. Among other things, the program offers the "Mira lilla gentile" chant by G. F. Haendel, which the group has rediscovered and brought to light with a precious record label in world premiere.

 

On Sunday, May 21, with the afternoon appointment at Villa Oliva di Cassano, the collaboration of the I Solisti Ambrosiani with the actress Roberta Turconi in "Secret Music" will return, an event that will lower the public in the climate of the Renaissance courts with music and poetry of the time, paying tribute to the ancient concert of the Ferrara ladies.

The I Solisti Ambrosiani will also be present on 27 May in Cislago, in the beautiful Church of the Annunciation. Mary of the snow, just restored, with the program "Alma Redemptoris Mater", which joins some antiphons and arias for soprano and continues a selection of Sonata for violin by Tomaso Albinoni.

 

June will host a conference of the painter Elisabetta Neri, titled "Legnano and the Seprio: traces of the past and inspiration", on Friday, 9 at the cultural vineria "La Polvere di Bacco", as well as an orchestral appointment, Olgiate Olona's Academy of Music, dedicated to the orchestral and opera baroque repertoire, with the Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, violin soloist Davide Belosio, and a selection of opera tunes by Vivaldi and Haendel on Sunday, 25, soprano Tullia Pedersoli.

 

On Saturday, July 8 at Gornate Olona, at the suggestive Torba Monastery, kindly granted by the FAI, will be the turn of the baroque ensemble "L'Archicembalo" with "The magnificent, progressive ...", an interesting panorama on sonatas for two violins and I continue in the late baroque.

 

Two important appointments for the seventh stage of the Festival: the "Visions fugitive" Concert on Saturday 9th September at the Monastery of Cairate, an archaeological site of great importance, subject to a long restoration work, from 2000 to 2013 and now open to Public, with the Trio I Solisti Ambrosiani, and the renewed collaboration with the Municipality of Castelseprio, on Sunday, September 10, for the "Sibrium Langobardorum" historical re-enactment at the Archaeological Park of Castelseprio, which aims to make known and divulge The history, customs and customs that have characterized these territories in the Longobard period, revitalizing the archaeological site of Castelseprio.
