EDITION 2016



Festival Musica Sibrii 2016 renews the offer of a rich program of events, combining a series of concerts by I Solisti Ambrosiani Baroque Ensemble, and some concerts with guest artists. In this way the musical and artistic offer is various and more interesting.

 

About new partnerships, there will be the harpsichord duo Antonella Panighini and Tiziana Fransosa (June 25), with a program dedicated to Bach and Vivaldi.

Furthemore it was renewed the successful collaboration with Ensemble Mvsica Perdvta, this year in trio formation: Renato Criscuolo (baroque cello), Alberto Bagnai (harpsichord and recorder) and Francesco Tomasi (theorbo), which will offer an interesting program dedicated to the songs, sonatas and ballets of italian Seventeenth Century, in the picturesque site of the Monastery of Cairate, recently restored to its former splendor thanks to careful restoration.

 

The music of renaissance courts will be protagonist in "Concerto delle dame" of 2 July to the Monastery of Torba, courtesy of FAI; during the event some poems by authors who were very interested in the musical activity of the ladies will be read.

So back to the combination of words and music, with the valuable contribution of the actress Roberta Turconi.

 

Also continuing the research and study of Vivaldi's repertoire with the female vocal ensemble Musica Picta, which this year will propose a philological reading of Magnificat RV 610-611 of Antonio Vivaldi (September 17).

 

 

To complete the program, among other events, the evening of young performers (RecercareDuo, June 12), the concert dedicated to Biagio Marini, entitled "Novello Cupido" (Legnano, September 25), and the conference "Baroque, the great theater world ", which continued the theoretical close examination of this epoch, with the intervention of the artist Elisabetta Neri for some aspects of social history.
